With its team of renowned biogeochemists and energy industry veterans, Strategic Carbon provides world-leading expertise in the assessment of mineral resources, carbon sequestration, and environmental assessment and remediation. Primarily focused on fossil fuels and carbon management, Strategic Carbon brings to DeepGEO enormous potential applications for safe nuclear energy, nuclear waste management, and disposal, in particular.

Through this agreement, the partners agree to:

  • Leverage expertise in environmental assessment of future DeepGEO facilities by applying Strategic Carbon’s knowledge of hydrology, radiochemistry, and aquatic impacts.
  • Explore water purification and remediation by use of Strategic Carbon’s patented harmonic cascade technology.
  • Develop nuclear desalination solutions for future Ubuntu Nuclear Energy projects.
  • Investigate carbon capture and sequestration as a beneficial and complementary activity to nuclear waste disposal.
  • Explore investment and funding opportunities.

This partnership highlights the innovative potential of multinational deep geological repositories as hubs for science, education, and technology – alongside their function as secure disposal facilities.
