Bio
David Hess is a passionate advocate for nuclear energy and sustainable development, with over 15 years of experience in international policy, sustainability, and industry engagement. Prior to joining DeepGEO, David spent 14 years at the World Nuclear Association, where he led ESG initiatives, engaged with financial institutions, and contributed to global policy discussions at the United Nations and other international bodies. He is excited about the potential of multinational repositories, the growth of nuclear energy programs in emerging countries, and the development of new nuclear technologies and applications. David is active on Twitter as @6point626 and writes a monthly opinion column for Nuclear Engineering International.
Past Experience
- World Nuclear Association (2009 – 2023): Served as ESG Programme Lead, coordinating the Association’s response to the EU Taxonomy, engaging with prominent financial institutions, and spearheading outreach efforts..

- Steering Committee Member: Water For Energy Framework (W4EF) (June 2013 – Present). Coordinates nuclear industry involvement in the Water For Energy Framework initiative.
