Bio
David Amoah is a civil and structural engineer, academic, and engineering consultant with experience spanning higher education, infrastructure development, and technical advisory services in Ghana. As Director of DeepGEO Ghana, he supports the company’s government engagement, stakeholder relations, and technical development activities, helping build partnerships that advance sustainable energy and environmental initiatives.
David served as a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Civil Engineering at Accra Technical University, where he combined teaching, research, and industry engagement for more than two decades. His work focused on structural engineering, construction technology, infrastructure systems, engineering materials, sustainability, and applied energy systems. In addition to his academic responsibilities, he held several university leadership and administrative positions, contributing to institutional development and governance.
Since joining DeepGEO in 2022, David has played an important role in establishing relationships with government agencies, regulatory authorities, and traditional leaders in Ghana. He was part of the team that facilitated and validated a Memorandum of Understanding with the Office of the Ga King in Accra and led DeepGEO’s engagement with the Ghana Geological Survey Authority, resulting in the development and signing of a Memorandum of Understanding. His combination of engineering expertise, academic leadership, and stakeholder engagement experience supports DeepGEO’s long-term efforts in Ghana

- Senior Lecturer, Department of Civil Engineering, Accra Technical University (1998 – 2024): Taught and mentored students in civil and structural engineering; contributed to research, technical consultancy, and industry collaboration.
- Civil and Structural Engineering Consultant: Provided engineering advisory, project management, and infrastructure development services for public and private sector projects.
- University Leadership Roles, Accra Technical University: Served in academic management and administrative leadership positions for approximately sixteen cumulative years.
