Finland

The launchpad for DeepGEO's business model is Finland – the global leader in spent nuclear fuel waste disposal. The country is also hungry for more nuclear energy as industrial energy demand is growing.

DeepGEO aims to achieve the following:

• Start a nuclear energy project and see it through to completion so that it brings abundant clean energy to industry and nearby communities.
• Develop a deep geological repository to meet the needs of the nuclear plant and other nuclear energy project developers in Finland.
• With legislation change, expand the deep geological repository to meet the needs of the global marker (multinational repository)
• Generate a blueprint and supply chain network for how we will develop projects in our other global locations.

Why Finland?

• There are multiple prime sites in Finland with communities seeking nuclear project development
• The geology is well-suited for deep geological repositories, with a ready supply chain and experience in development of Onkalo,
• Public sentiment and political support for nuclear power and deep geological repositories is very high
• STUK (Finland's Nuclear regulator) is sensible, well-respected and has recent experience with new builds
• The core of industrial policy is massive increase of clean electricity

Canada

DeepGEO's spiritual homeland is Labrador, Canada, where the idea to develop multinational repositories was turned into a company. A joint venture between DeepGEO and indigenous community leaders– Makushan Energy – is considering sites and leading stakeholder engagement in Labrador and Quebec.

USA

DeepGEO is a US registered company. It is currently pursuing several domestic opportunities related to DoE funding and the attempt to re-initiate high level waste disposal facilities in the country. It is also engaging with US states and national laboratories on various initiatives.

DeepGEO is active in Africa – which it sees as being one of the next major growth markets for nuclear energy. There are currently two regional teams in Africa, but this may grow as the company is exploring opportunities with other African countries.

Ghana

The immediate focus is a nuclear power project being developed by DeepGEO's Ghana NPP company subsidiary, Ubuntu Nuclear Energy.

Somaliland

DeepGEO has a partnership agreement that sets the framework for developing nuclear energy projects in Somaliland. The immediate focus is capacity building.
