Bio
Kwamina Duker is a financial leader and entrepreneur with over three decades of experience spanning global markets, fintech innovation, and development finance. He is the founder of DWM and most recently served as Chief Executive Officer of the Development Bank Ghana (DBG), where he established the institution from inception, mobilizing over US$400 million in long-term funding from multilateral partners and disbursing GHS 1.6 billion in credit to local businesses – more than half of which benefited women-led enterprises.
Today, K. Duker is spearheading three transformational initiatives through DWM: advancing affordable nuclear energy by addressing long-term nuclear waste storage, launching a Pan-African brokerage to expand liquidity and integration, and building a strategic studio that connects African ventures with global capital. He is committed to driving Africa’s competitiveness through reliable energy, free markets, and investor-ready institutions.
He is a frequent commentator on Africa’s economic transformation, with opinion pieces published in the Business & Financial Times and recognition by institutions such as the World Bank and African Development Bank for his work on institutional innovation.
